Embossing

Individuality in each embossing.

What does that mean?

Embossing, also known as calotting, creates various desired material properties, including optical changes, increased surface area, and improved drawability. The deformation increases the material’s inherent stiffness, allowing further processing steps to be carried out effectively. In addition to calotted metal foil, the term foil embossing is commonly used, which is widely applied in the industry to achieve specific properties. We also offer embossed sheets and embossed foils, which are ideal for decorative and functional applications due to their structural characteristics. Our embossed sheets and embossed foils are specifically designed to meet both aesthetic and technical demands, making them a versatile choice for various industries.

What will be improved?

In embossing, or calotting, the material is altered to be optimally suited for specific applications. Through intentional deformation, new material properties are created, offering both functional and aesthetic advantages. Particularly with embossed aluminum sheets, the structure is designed during embossing to provide increased strength and stability, while maintaining flexibility.

A specialized technique often used in the production of embossed aluminum sheets is calotte embossing. In this process, the surface of the sheets is stamped with small dome-like structures, enhancing not only the visual appeal but also increasing the surface area of the material. This technique is frequently used in architecture and mechanical engineering, as the embossed aluminum sheets provide high durability along with an attractive design.

Through these specific embossing techniques, material solutions are created that are essential for a variety of industries, including construction, the automotive industry, and aerospace.
